Terms and conditions

The terms and conditions for single course students and master students at the Master of Medicines Regulatory Affairs at the University of Copenhagen.

Cancellation

Applications may be withdrawn no later than one month prior to the start of the programme or course without being subject to tuition fee. Applications not withdrawn by this deadline are binding and the applicant will be charged the tuition fee.

If a registered course participant is prevented from attending, the applicant’s slot on the programme or course may be transferred to a third party prior to the start of the programme or course, as long as the third party meets the admission requirements. The master’s administration office must be informed in writing about the reallocation, and the new participant must send an application with enclosures immediately. Any difference in tuition fee must be paid before the course starts.

The tuition fee will not be refunded in case of illness. Provision of a doctor’s certificate covering the entire period of instruction no later than three days after the last day of instruction will entitle the student to take the course(s) at no extra charge the next time it is offered.

Payment

Tuition fees for programmes or one or more courses must be paid before the payment deadline. The right to a slot can be withdrawn if the tuition fees are not paid on time. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences may waive this requirement in exceptional circumstances.

An admission letter will be sent to the student's email address and an invoice will be sent to the postal address/email address stated in the application.

Non-payment

A slot on the course is conditional on payment being made by the due date.

In the event of non-payment, three reminders will be sent. If a master’s student fails to pay the tuition fee after the third reminder, his or her enrolment will be terminated.

Examination

Payment for a master’s course includes the right to three exam attempts. Students who fail or do not sit an exam are not entitled to retake the course concerned free of charge. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences may waive this rule in exceptional circumstances.

The tuition fee is not refunded if a student fails to attend an exam or is expelled.

Special rules concerning courses offered in collaboration between University of Copenhagen and Atrium:

For the following 5 courses special rules apply (see below):

  • Biopharmaceuticals - quality development and documentation
  • Clinical Development – Efficacy of Medicines
  • Regulatory Affairs in the EU
  • Regulatory Affairs in the USA
  • Quality - Active Substance and Medicinal Product

If students choose to pay only for the course activity, they waive their right to participate in the examination. However, students regain this right if they register by email to master@sund.ku.dk and pay for the exam. The registration must be send no later than 10 days after the end of the course.

Participation in exam activities requires participation in the correlated course activity.

Other conditions

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences reserves the right to cancel or change the timing and venue of courses if the number of participants fails to meet the required minimum. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is not responsible for any printing errors or price adjustments on this website.
